PROCESS

Now that the Phase One study is complete and Phase Two engineering and property acquisition has begun, the project team will meet with local representatives and business owners regarding property acquisitions and future construction plans. As new information becomes available, the project team will continue to update the community through available channels.

The project team will provide regular project updates and work through key milestones with those impacted, including community groups, businesses and business organizations, pedestrian and bicycle groups, churches, schools, disability groups, elected officials, aldermen, state legislators, and the county commissioner.

To maximize public involvement, Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS), a collaborative, interdisciplinary, and holistic approach to the development of transportation projects, will be employed to gather diverse and representative stakeholder input throughout the study. To learn more about CSS, visit https://www.fhwa.dot.gov/planning/css/
